  • We are searching for ESL teachers who aren’t afraid to go beyond traditional settings. English Outdoors classes blend language learning and city excursions, offering students a truly immersive experience.

    Instead of a traditional classroom, EO’s English classes take place all over the city. Class locations include a mix of indoor and outdoor venues and have been carefully chosen based on comfort, space, and ease of access. All classes are capped at a maximum of 8 students to ensure there are plenty of opportunities to practice speaking.

    Classes focus on authentic speaking practice, improving fluency, and building confidence. Lessons are carefully curated and include NYC themed topics with on-the-move city excursions (such as walking tours, landmarks, museums, and more) built right in.

    English Outdoors offers only seasonal, part-time teaching contracts for all 2026 programs, including:

  • English Outdoors is searching for a Head Teacher for our Teen English Summer Camp (June 29 – August 7). Head Teachers teach a regular class and provide on-site leadership and guidance to the other ESL teachers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    -      Provide on-site teacher support

    -      Assist Program Manager with day-to-day scheduling and logistics

    -      Conduct teacher observations

    -      Work with the Academic Manager on academic related issues (ex: teacher resources, student levels, lesson plans, etc.)

    This position requires staying on site 24/7 (sleeping at the residence, provided by English Outdoors).
